For this project I had to choose a place to create a logo for. I chose Lorne. Lorne is a small coastal town, located in Victoria along the Great Ocean Road. Known for its family friendly beach, beautiful rainforest and large arts community, Lorne is a very big tourist attraction when it comes to the summer time. With the beach being patrolled all summer, tourists can feel safe when it comes to swimming, building sand castles and surfing all summer. Additionally, with Mountjoy Parade, a popular surfing spot being just across from Lorne, there is plenty of swell to be enjoyed.

The main idea that I tried to communicate for my Lorne mark, was the coastal aspects that the town has to offer. Therefore I implemented different aspects such as the ocean, the sun, and the famous Lorne pier into my mark. I wanted to achieve continuity in the design so that it flowed and was visually appealing for viewers. Additionally, I wanted to ensure it was simple, however effective, capturing the viewer's attention.
